For the final project in Architectual Design I with Amber Straquadine, students were tasked with designing an artist retreat in the landscape of Bosque Del Apache - a nature reserve just outside of Socorro, New Mexico.
I chose to design a retreat for digital artists- it is designed to be an escape for artists and a visiting space/gallery for the public. It features living spaces for artists, a gallery with screens and projectors, an outdoor theater to view art projected onto the building, and ample space for outdoor programming.
